Educator Ambassador Program

The Science Communication Lab (SCL) is proud to announce a pioneering national initiative that brings real-world science into classrooms through storytelling. This pilot program spotlights an exceptional cohort of high school biology and environmental science teachers who are not only leaders in their fields but also passionate advocates for curiosity-driven, student-centered learning. These Ambassadors—from California to West Virginia—co-create SCL’s educational resources, develop and pilot lesson plans, and help shape content that humanizes scientists and deepens student engagement with the scientific process. The program is guided by Dr. Lee Meadows, a veteran science educator and founding Executive Director of the Alabama STEM Council. Learn more and meet the full cohort here.
