We’re so excited to announce DECODING ANCESTRAL KNOWLEDGE will have its African premiere at the 2024 Green Film Festival Accra from October 25-26 at the Legon Botanical Gardens in Ghana! Our film was one of 44 films selected from over 1,800 submissions worldwide! See below for more information from the festival programmers:
“The films for the 2024 edition were chosen across five key themes that align with the heart of our festival: Biodiversity, Wildlife Conservation, Food Sustainability, Climate Displacement, Activism. These films span diverse categories including documentaries, short films, and animations, all of which contribute to crucial global conversations around the environment and sustainability.
The two-day festival will be packed with engaging activities:
Day 1: Immersive, film-anchored experiences and masterclasses, both in-person and online, hosted by filmmakers and experts in various fields.
Day 2: Screenings of the official selections and the unveiling of our festival stations—mini-worlds built in collaboration with partners and exhibitors, centered around sustainability themes. These interactive stations will provide a unique way for participants to engage with critical environmental issues.”
